for Tuba and Piano
Grade: Intermediate/Advanced
Fauré’s Sicilienne originated as orchestral incidental music to a theatrical production, but unfortunately the commissioning theater went bankrupt and the play was abandoned. After a few years on the shelf, Fauré adapted the piece for cello and piano, and it has since become one of his best known works. A recording of Sicilienne is available on Carol Jantsch’s 2020 album POWERHOUSE, and this item is also available as part of a set of three pieces by Fauré.
